Now deployed on the Mangoky and Makay rivers, Faith is helping us reach remote communities faster than ever – carrying people and vital supplies across terrain others simply can’t access.
Day Two (continued) – Medical Safari
The group split between our “Medical Safari” clinic – where 757 people were seen and treated that week – and visits to Volambita and Soatana, where new solar-powered pumps and wells we constructed are bringing clean water to those remote communities for the very first time.
Days Four & Five
The weekend brought a chance to explore Madagascar’s wildlife, history, and culture – from lemurs and crocodiles to a Royal Palace, and bustling riverside market.
On Sunday, our Country Director Doreen hosted a sunset barbeque, bringing together supporters, partners, colleagues, and friends for an evening of music, connection, and Malagasy hospitality.
Day Seven (continued) – Mobile Clinics
We then set out on the 3.5 hour journey up country to see the Mobile Clinic in Ambohimarina to see at first hand how the joint MHM / HoverAid team delivers healthcare in remote areas using tough 4*4 Unimog trucks, inflatable clinic tents, and sophisticated medical equipment to bring treatment directly to isolated communities
