HoverAid reaches the unreachable in Madagascar, bringing hope and healing, and transforming lives in remote communities.
We serve others by using unique amphibious technology, namely hovercraft, to bring aid to remote places, where people have no easy access to medical care or clean water. HoverAid Hovercraft can get to places that other vehicles can’t.
Many people in the world live close to water, where there are no roads. Our hovercraft can skim over land and water to reach the unreachable. With your help, we can help others to reach them too.
You’ll find us in the lowland plains of Madgascar. Madagascar is an island just off the east coast of southern Africa and one of the poorest countries in the world.
Roughly the size of the UK and Germany put together, it has a road system the size of Devon. Often hit by cyclones, 20 of its 25 million people live in the rural areas, with little or no access to clean water or medication. When the rains come, many areas are completely unreachable by car and very hard to get to by boat or plane.
At these times, hovercraft are the answer.
We are just like you! People who want to make a difference.
We are a tiny team with big ideas. Our strength is in our energy, tenacity, faith and determination to help where others do not. We are an international charity, going the extra mile to help where it is needed most.
