MMS Marolambo: Sept’25

In September 2025, HoverAidโs Medical Mission Safari team travelled to Marolambo, where they treated 671 patients through surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, ultrasound, and consultations โ including a life-saving caesarean section that ensured both mother and baby survived. The mission was marked by strong collaboration with local hospital staff and brought vital medical care to people who had travelled from far and wide.

New Office for the UK Team

After many years based at Chalk Farm in Babraham just outside of Cambridge, the HoverAid UK office and charity postal address is moving just 15 minutes down the road.
MMS Nosy Varika: Aug’25

The MMS mission to Nosy Varika faced travel challenges, bad weather, and fewer patients due to a recent festival, but the team still carried out major surgeries and provided essential care for those who came from far away.
Med-Evac: Lovasoa’s Story

18-month-old Lovasoa, who has spina bifida and hydrocephalus, was airlifted to Antananarivo for urgent neurosurgery thanks to generous donations, and while he is now recovering in hospital, he still needs ongoing care, supplies, and support as he heals.
MMS Ambatolahy: July’25

This second of the Ambatolahy mission this year saw a significantly higher number of patients than the one in March, with many travelling from Malaimbady, 70km away.

MMS Ankavandra: June’25

The MMS team carried out over 500 consultations, surgeries, and urgent care – including treatment for tuberculosis, bilharzia, and complex surgical cases – while navigating serious security risks and limited infrastructure.
MMS Ampasinambo: May’25

A successful MMS mission in Ampasinambo overcame weather and logistical challenges, treated malaria and other urgent cases, and marked a new chapter of strong local collaboration.
